I can't tell you how much I miss painting. Even the late nights and crazy painting day-in and day-out are dearly missed compared to this creation-less, sad, studio class-less fall semester existence. I'm feeling David with the whole no studio class thing. The only art-related class I'm taking is Art History 2 and its kicking my butt. Never in my life have I felt so drained and helpless as days go by like minutes and the ability to create things disappears before it ever presents itself. I have some free time, but I feel so stressed and burnt out that I'm just never inspired. The best I've managed is a sketch of a tree. Pretty sad, right?
The best I can do is take some photos...so here are some that I've taken recently. David said I should post them. =)

Sara...
I'm feeling you on the studio less fall semester...As I ranted in one of my previous blogs...The sad thing is I want to do artwork so bad!!! That I would have to give up sleep...and I can't do that this semester...because of my class load...That is okay...because I'm reserving myself for next semester!!!
You know I love these photos!!! I'm happy to see them on the blog...Your work is so great...It has this really dark and twisted side to it...I was checking out your Zombie pics the other night...You should post a few of those so everyone can see how crazy and scary they are!!!
Sara,
It's great to see this narrative side of you...I understand the paintings better...
and yet, these are abstract as well...
(the hands-the movement and shadows in some of the photos).
I'm noticing people pressed for time and using photography (or big bunnies) - it all works...
and also helps us realize what a huge effort it is to paint--to make art--to set up a place to paint and do it...little by little it gets done...and bravo on the photographs.
Hey, haven't seen you lately and now I know why! I love the photos ... very sultry. Don't worry about not taking a painting studio. It's just not the same as summer. I've been vacillating between dropping my Intermed. Painting class, changing my concentration from painting to something else, or just sucking it up for the remainder and see how it goes. Sigh... I miss our old class.
I love the third and the last. You've gotten so intense.
