Alter Ego
Hello friends. I wanted to post some of my photographs from my digital photo class. Our objective was "Alter Egos". I decided that mine would be these glamorous women from the 40's, 50's and 60's, something that I am not, nor willing to change who I am to become to this ideal. However, being one of these ideal women is something in the back of my mind. As for what I've done to create these photographs, I've manipulated my face onto these women. Yes, that's my face you're looking at. One of these photos will be in the center gallery from Oct. 18-31 for the photo club show. The closing reception will be on the 31st for who ever would like to come. I hope you all have a chance to stop by and see it and support the photographers in the club. I miss you all and I hope and pray that everything is going well with you guys. Keep posting your work! I want to see what you have been doing!!! I'll be posting some paintings soon.

ps- sorry this post is so large. I had to use a "large format" since the photos are made to print as 5x7 on 11x14 paper, leaving a huge border around the edge.

Sweet stuff, girl! Those are very convincing photo manipulations! I love the one with the telephone....I could hardly tell it was you, or should I say, I could hardly tell it wasn't you? Haha.
Ashlee...
I love these images!!! I find it interesting that you say these women are something your not...because you look great!!! I love the first image and the last image...Very nice work Ashlee...Your almost finished with school...I know you have to be excited!!! These are gorgeous and perfectly you--
I myself like the pedal pusher style-wise...but hey...Carole Lombard profile, (or is it Garbo)--who can resist.
You look fabulous dahlink!
Congrats on the show.
Post the paintings! Right on that you are pressing on--way to go.
Great job and wonderful choices! I'm envious of your talent and your alter egos.
I think you suit them. You're probably more like them than you realize. I think thats why we pick certain personalities for alter-egos. It's our uninhibited selves.
Awesome photos. Didn't realize it was your face at first.
Side note: I still haven't figured out how to sign up as a contributor here! -Robert
David, I think Robert wants to post, can you give him permission through the blog? Robert, that's how it works.
David has to go into the menu bar and choose options, I think and add your email under contributors.
